The Bing Overseas Studies Program (BOSP) is seeking a Program Manager responsible for the development and management of short-term, faculty-led, education abroad programs. In this role, you will exercise a high degree of independence and judgment in solving problems, executing and completing projects, and interacting with colleagues and managers throughout the University, as well as faculty, students, and parents. You will act as a collaborative member of BOSP’s vibrant Student and Academic Services team.
The Bing Overseas Studies Program (BOSP) offers Stanford undergraduates the opportunity to study abroad while remaining enrolled at Stanford and is considered an integral part of the Stanford curriculum. The demographic breakdown of BOSP participants closely mirrors that of the entire Stanford population. Approximately 50 percent of each graduating class studies abroad on a BOSP program during their undergraduate career at Stanford.

Your responsibilities will include:
Advocating for and representing the interests of BOSP. Advising faculty, students, and other constituents on matters pertaining to implementation of BOSP and University policies and procedures.
Management of the process for soliciting faculty proposals for short-term, faculty-led education abroad programs.
Assessing faculty program proposals for financial and operational feasibility and making recommendation to BOSP management for final program choices.
Management of request for proposal process for third-party providers, ensuring alignment between program goals and provider capabilities. In conjunction with BOSP senior staff and other stakeholders, managing process for selection of providers.
Coordination of advising and outreach, enrollment management, training, and orientation for all BOSP short-term, faculty-led education abroad programs.
Management of complex communication process and multiple, simultaneous relationships between faculty leaders, third-party overseas program providers, students, and other university officers, including setting expectations for faculty participation and advising on the development of logistical plans.
Designing and preparing data analysis, reports, and other documentation on BOSP enrollment and other characteristics for oversight and other purposes to measure the general effectiveness of BOSP programs.
Helping to establish and maintain practical and efficient international health and safety standards, protocols, and resources for BOSP programs.
Reviewing, developing, and maintaining the BOSP website and pre-departure resources related to international health and safety, guided by emerging trends and standards of good practice in the field of international education.
Assisting the BOSP Senior Leadership Team in critical incident response, including drafting communications to students, emergency contacts, and other stakeholders.
General oversight of program budgets including monitoring and approving expenditures.
May direct staff or student assistants to perform various tasks and assignments.

To be successful in this position:
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
